Bringing the Word to the Community – October 2016
A few weeks ago we celebrated more than a year’s effort in determining how we intend to bring the Word to the community. We spent many hours developing a consistent look for our parish and the meaning behind that look that is based on our strong foundation and welcoming community.
We have heard a lot of great feedback about our celebration weekend—from the Biggby coffee to the launch of our own premium apparel line with t-shirts and hoodies. We chose premium products in modern styles so that our parishioners would be excited to wear them. Church apparel is a great conversation starter and we hope that you will wear your apparel with pride. The store will be open the first weekend of the month after all Masses. We have received lots of positive feedback and requests for us to expand the lineup and we are looking into more options for you.
This new website, in addition to providing schedules, news, and bulletins, is focusing on inspirational content such as videos and articles that are great for sharing on social media to let others know what we are about.
Speaking of social media, when you come to St. Isidore to Mass or for an event, be sure to check in on Facebook. That way your friends and family know there is a place they can come and worship that will have a friendly face waiting for them.
We know that inviting someone to church or engaging in a conversation about your faith may not always be the easiest thing to do. We are in the process of planning events that will allow us to reach out the community and inviting them to try us out.
We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.
