Love one another.

God instructs us to “Love one another.” It seems difficult, this act of offering love to all. What does it mean to love one another? Have you ever had a moment in your life when you tried to avoid having to acknowledge someone in order to ignore their presence, maybe in a line at the check-out register?

It’s human nature for us to try and remove ourselves from uncomfortable situations. God calls us to be brave and to share his love with all who cross our path. There are many ways to love others but to start we can do something for them without their even knowing. We can pray for them! It’s a way of loving someone unconditionally, just as God calls us to do.

Think about the people you come into contact with in your daily life and ways you can pray for them. Think about a relative or distant friend you have drifted away from. Praying for them and serving the Lord can be done through a simple prayer. We must look beyond the awkwardness of new situations. God is inviting you to “Love one another!”
