Fortunately, I grew up in a Catholic household nurtured and knowing from my earliest memories that God loves us very much and very perfectly. He loves us even in moments when we aren’t necessarily “lovable”. ..and yes, even when we are angry at him for something really bad or really sad that happened to us or someone we know. Although no one really knows who God is, we know that nothing can separate us from his love. Although we can’t see him, God is always waiting where we are to hear from us, whether in the whisper of a prayer need, a sigh of profound sadness, or in a shout of joy. God is all about the unique connection he has with each one of us from the moment we came into being.
