lent 2018 theme image

Lent is a time that we look at our lives and think, what can I give up? We remove something from our lives in an effort to become closer in our relationship to God and replicate the sacrifice of Christ’s journey into the desert for 40 days.

But the journey that we walk with Christ is about more than just sacrificing luxuries in our lives. We want to help you with your Lenten journey this year by providing opportunities to ADD something to your Lent instead of just taking something away.

Lenten Prayer Encounters

These are featured events throughout Lent that are centered around
reflective and meditative prayer and worship.

Each of these events are unique and will be a powerful experience

A beautiful Lenten experience of music, scripture and prayer that integrates many different styles of Lenten music including contemporary and Taizé as well as scriptures and inspirational reflections read by the leaders. This is a thoughtful and inspirational beginning to the Lenten season as a growth experience.

February 23 | 7:00PM

A Modern Worship experience where we will transform our gathering space into a 360 degree immersive worship atmosphere. This is using our Modern Worship format with contemporary acoustic music from today’s artists and a reflection centered around forgiveness.

March 08 | 7:00PM

A faith-sharing experience of music, prayer and a simple Lenten meal of soup, bread and (sparkling) wine.

The presentation includes a beautiful musical setting of the Eucharistic prayer poem
commemorating the Life, Death and Resurrection of Christ and His call for us to serve others in love.

March 18 | 4:30PM

Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross is a Lenten devotion that offers witness to Jesus’ Passion and Death. At each station we use our senses and our imagination to reflect prayerfully upon Jesus’ suffering, Death, and Resurrection, and to simply experience the visual images to reflect on Christ’s love for us.
