SVDP Food Distribution on March 25

The St. Vincent de Paul Society was privileged on Wednesday evening, March 25th, to provide 40 families with gift cards, boxes of food and bags of soaps, paper and personal hygiene products.  We also gave each family bags of assorted Easter candy and 63 children’s Easter baskets which were donated by a family from St. Paul of Tarsus.

To protect our members, parish staff, and our neighbors in need, we implemented a drive thru only pick-up system for this event and kept the number of participants to only a few.  Our most joyful highlights of the year are these Food Distributions.  These provide a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the families we help without the stress of evictions or utility shut-offs.  Although all of our members could not be here and meet with our families personally, they were certainly there in spirit.  Our neighbors in need were very grateful for the help they received this day all due to the generous donations from our parishioners.

We would like to offer special thanks to the following people for their donations of hams, Easter baskets, candy, Gift Cards, laundry soap, and 70 loaves of bread from parishioners and Great Harvest Bread Co.  As always, heartfelt thanks to Fr. Ron, Debbie, Ann and her family and all those who donated food, for your unwavering support and help in these unprecedented circumstances.

God Bless,
St. Isidore St. Vincent de Paul Society
