St. Vincent de Paul Update 7/16/2020

“The most deadly poison of our time is indifference.  And this happens although the praise of God should know no limits.  Let us strive, therefore, to praise him to the greatest extent of our powers.”

– St. Maximilian Kolbe

“Each of you knows that the foundation of our faith is charity.  Without it, our religion would crumble.  We will never be truly Catholic unless we conform our entire lives to the two commandments that are the essence of the Catholic faith:  to love the Lord, our God, with all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.”

–  Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati

We are 5 weeks from our Back to School Food Distribution in August.  Although we realize that children may not be able to go to school, even part time, they still need supplies, breakfast and lunch foods and snacks.  We continue to pray that the coronavirus dissipates, a vaccine is found quickly, and our children will be able to go back to school.  As always, we appreciate all of the donations from our generous parishioners.  Our current pantry needs are:

  • Canned Green Beans
  • Oatmeal
  • Jelly
  • Peanut Butter
  • Granola Bars & Fruit Bars
  • Fruit Cups
  • Pudding Cups
  • Juice Boxes
  • Pancake Mix & Syrup
  • Jar Spaghetti Sauce
  • Spaghetti Noodles
  • Brownies
  • Elbow Macaroni
  • Laundry Soap
  • Dish Soap
  • Pump Hand Soap
  • Toothpaste

God Bless,
