Claire Toupin is currently finishing up a degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Oakland University. A native of Fair Haven Michigan, Claire has been strongly involved in music ministry at her home parish, Immaculate Conception, since becoming a member of the youth choir as a child. As a singer, Claire has held many lead roles in both opera and musical theater, including Christine in Phantom of the Opera, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, and she will play the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute later this year. As a teacher, Claire has taught catechism, home-school general music classes, is a middle school Youth Minister, is a substitute teacher, directs Cardinal Mooney’s Drama Club, and runs a private vocal and piano studio. She is very excited to be taking on the job of directing Joyful Noise children’s choir this year. Claire strongly believes that all talents are gifts from God and should be given back to Him. What better way to give back our creative talents than through the art of praise and worship at Holy Mass! She looks forward to being more involved in the St. Isidore Parish community through God’s gift of music.
