This, I believe, is not just a difficulty for “church professionals” but for people in general. We use phrases so often that the phrase loses the significance it should have in our lives. We sing, pray and proclaim the “Glory of God” at every Mass, but do we take even a moment to consider what is “God’s Glory”? There is no human way that we can completely understand the infinite Glory of God, but until we take time, dedicated moments in our busy lives to open up our minds and hearts to even just a “bit” of God’s Glory, we grow in our faith. I may not know, nor am I required to know, how God’s Glory is experienced in someone else’s life, but I am challenged to reflect on how God’s Glory is working in my life. This takes a purposeful time; a time I make for God.
