Join Us for the Fall Rummage Sale! Volunteers Needed.
The Altar Society is excited to announce that they are once again hosting their Fall Rummage Sale, a cherished event that brings the community together while raising funds to help the church. Each year this sale seems to get bigger and better, but they need more help to get it in order!
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering at the rummage sale is a wonderful way to serve the community, meet new people, and make a difference. Whether you have a few hours or a few days to spare, your time and effort will be greatly appreciated. Plus, it’s a fun and rewarding experience for all involved!
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Set-Up Crew: Help us transform our social hall by arranging tables, sorting donations, and organizing items for display. Set-up and Donation Sorting takes place on September 8, 9, and 10 from 9 AM to 5 PM.
- Sales Assistants: Assist shoppers, keep the sales area tidy, and manage transactions. September 11 from 9 AM to 5PM; September 12 from 9 AM to 1 PM
- Clean-Up Crew: Help pack up unsold items and restore our space to its original state. Pack-up will be on Friday, September 12 from about 1-3 PM
Important Note
We ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of 4-hour shifts, as an hour here and there doesn’t provide sufficient time to learn where things need to go. Your dedication and continuity are vital to the smooth operation of the event.
Tasks Include:
- Getting items out of cars and bringing them in.
- Distributing items to the proper areas.
- Unpacking boxes.
- Assisting with any other tasks as needed.
- On Friday, packing up remaining items and assisting with loading them onto the waiting Veteran’s truck.
How to Sign Up – If you’re interested in volunteering, please call Jan Stark (586-484-2932) or Sue Schwark (586-747-5784)
We look forward to working together to make this year’s Fall Rummage Sale a fantastic success. Thank you for your generosity and support!
