Save Our Vegetable Garden

Whether you want to champion the effort or play a small role, we need volunteers to keep the St. Isidore community vegetable garden going.

The garden was created in honor of St Isidore patron of farmers. To get started, we used changing lives together funds as our “seed money” many years ago. We have produced veggies and donated to local food pantries each year with the exception of 2020. Due to health matters, those who championed this effort need others to step up this year.

Please consider ways you can help and think about making it a family affair. This is a great opportunity for kids to participate.

  • Do you have a knack for gardening?
  • Do you have a few minutes to pull a couple weeds?
  • Would you be willing to pick veggies?
  • Want to help prepare the garden beds for planting?
  • How about helping with fall clean up?
  • Don’t want to get dirty, no problem!
  • Can you deliver the fresh veggies to local food pantries?
  • How about using your project management skills to coordinate the effort from planning, planting, harvesting, and distribution?

As we are called to serve the poor, what better way to live your faith than put your talents to work and provide fresh veggies to those in need.

Please join us for a meeting on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 1 PM in the office’s Front Conference Room.
