Ministries

Each week hundreds of people just like you give their time to serve – and we call them ministers. Whether it’s greeting guests, proclaiming the Word, or serving as an altar server or Eucharistic Minister, every volunteer minister is making a difference in our church.

First Impressions Team

Welcome guest as soon as they arrive and help our church be a welcoming environment for our guests. Greeters are the first interaction newcomers or visitors to the parish encounter when coming to St. Isidore. That greeting makes all the difference when it comes to influencing the unchurched or newcomer’s feelings and sense of belonging as they step into our church. Hospitality Teams are a great way to serve as a family or small group.

Liturgical Ministries

Lectors, Altar Servers, and Eucharistic Ministers are vital to the momentum of a Mass. Altar servers (age 8–18) assist the priest and are the perfect way for young people to begin in ministry. Lectors proclaim the spoken Word of God and Eucharistic Minister share the body and blood of Christ with our guests during Communion.

Worship Technology and Music

As a modern Catholic church, we rely heavily on technology to help create the impactful church experience each week. Through the projection of songs and camera work, our AV Ministers (or “AVengers” as we call them) create the digital environment for worship. If computers and technology are your thing, this is perfect for you.

An App to Manage it all

We’ve made it easy and convenient to manage all of our ministries* through a platform called, Planning Center Online.
Don’t want to minister on Saturdays?
Only want to volunteer once a month?
Going on vacation for a while?
Want to make sure your family serves together?
No problem! We’ve got you covered with Planning Center.
Also there’s a great app to manage your schedule.

Can’t make it on the day you were scheduled?
No problem. Simply decline the request and the team leader will find a sub for you.

*Note that this Planning Center is not currently supported by all ministries but will be expanded in the future.

Are you ready to make a difference?

Let us know that you’re interested in serving as a ministry volunteer and we’ll get back with you to help you learn more!
