Music + Worship

Inspired by the witness of Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, the Music Ministry of St. Isidore Catholic Community welcomes all who wish to share their God-given musical talents.
We strive to promote the full, conscious and active participation of the assembly in the liturgy; praise God through prayer and song; strengthen our bond as a family in Christ; and to be led by the Holy Spirit as we maintain and improve the quality of our singing, playing and music repertoire.

Want to get involved?

There are lots of ways that you can get involved with our music ministry at St. Isidore

The Choir

Our largest vocal ensemble is open to singers 16+ and does not require an audition to join. The choir rehearses once per week on Wednesdays, sings on a rotation schedule for weekend Masses (mostly 9:30 & 11:30), and sings for major feast days (e.g. Christmas and Easter)

Praise Teams

A recent addition to the music ministry, Praise Teams are contemporary ensembles that sing one weekend each month in combination with our house praise band.

Auditions for Praise Teams take place in September at Open Mic Sessions.

Instruments

St. Isidore is seeking skilled instrumentalists to add to our worship team to lead music as a band (guitars, bass, and drums).

Instrumentalists are expected to be well-prepared and be able to lead music in a contemporary style.

Cantors

Cantors lead music solo (without an ensemble). A cantor must possess a strong and confident voice and be well-prepared to lead music at Mass.

Auditions are scheduled as needed. Contact Amy to set up a consultation.

Teen Ensemble

Whether you sing or play an instrument, students in grades 7-12 join together preparing and leading worship with Amy once a month.

The teen ensemble rehearses on Thursdays

Children’s Choir

This fun ensemble for children involves learning basic fundamentals of music for children in grades 1-6. The Children’s Choir sings once a month for Mass.
