Cleaning the inside to match the outside as Catholics

Tuesday of the 21st Week in Ordinary Tme

In today’s gospel, Jesus calls out the scribes and pharisees. Outside they look holy to other people, but on the inside they are hypocritical. Fr. Ron reflects on how this can be challenging for practicing Catholics.
How do we respond when we see someone in need? Suffering injustice? Do we reach out with compassion and mercy? We might be outwardly holy, but do we need to clean the inside to bring it inline with the outside?
