How do you respond when bad things happen?

Monday of the 26th Week in Ordinary Time

This week’s first readings come from the Book fo Job: Human sinfulness and divine justice. Job was a good man to whom bad things happened. In today’s homily, Fr. Ron reflects on how a good person responds when bad things happen to them. Job is a good man but loses everything.

Everything he had in life came from God, but what God gave, he can also take away. Fr. Ron reminds us that God is present even in the difficult times. We need to remember this. Also, when we lose things we have to let them go. We need to go through the grief process but give them back to God.
