How to transform the world with your life

Wednesday of the 25th Week in Ordinary Time

We gather each week to celebrate Mass so that we can be transformed and then go forth and transform the world… to go forth and share our experience of Christ with others. Liturgy is not meant just for our own personal piety.

Today’s gospel is Luke’s account of the commissioning of the twelve. Jesus sends them forth to proclaim the gospel, heal the sick, and drive out demons. Having observed Jesus throughout his ministry, they are now called to a greater mission. Just like us… we are called to participate in Jesus’ ministry.

Let’s take some time today to think about how we can transform the world by proclaiming the Gospel with our words and actions.
