Rising above to forgive

Monday in the Octave of Easter

In today’s homily, Fr. Ron reflects on our Easter connecting point, “Rise above it all,” in today’s Gospel story of the resurrection. Jesus had to rise above the hurtful things people have done for us.

“Go to my brothers to go ahead of me to go to Galilee.”

Jesus refers to those who have hurt him as brothers. He rises above it all to forgive them.

Our Easter joy calls us to do the same. To rise above the hurtful things people have done to us and forgive them.
