The difference between shame and guilt

Tuesday of the Third Week of Advent

In today’s homily, Fr. Ron reflects on the negative impact shame has in our lives. There is a difference between guilt and shame. Guilt helps you to change who you are. We need not be ashamed before God.
The worst thing about shame is that it cuts us off from other people and God.

Fr. Ron encourages us to deal with our shame, talk about it with others, and rid it from our lives.
We all do bad things, but we are not bad people.
