The Importance of Seniors in our Faith Community

Wednesday of the Third Week of Lent

Fr. Ron shares why is proud now that he has turned 70. It is because of the importance he has of passing on his faith to younger generations. In today’s first reading, we hear Moses’s farewell speech to the people of Israel. Remember what God has done for you by passing on to your children and your children’s children

Fr. Ron shares that he greatest gift seniors can give to younger generations is to pass the law of God that is inscribed on your heart onto their children. This is the role of older people in the community. At St. Isidore, in order to do this, we know that we need do pass it on in new and innovative ways so that younger generations will be strong in their faith in the way that older generations are.
