The reward of an unprofitable servant

Tuesday of the 32nd Week in Ordinary Time

In today’s gospel, Jesus compares us to servants doing what they are asked to do. Everything that God gives us is pure love. He doesn’t reward us for doing good things, the loves us in spite of ourselves. We often think we deserve reward or praise but it never came and we get disappointed.
If we don’t expect a reward and a reward comes, it fills us with joy. This is how God’s love is.

Everything we have from God is his grace. It’s always working in and through us.
