The right way to get through your burdens

Wednesday of the Second Week of Advent

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Jesus invites us to take our burdens to him, not to take them away, but so he can help us carry them. The way to do that is to be meek and humble. That’s part of the point of grief support groups.
Fr. Ron reflects on a personal experience of working through this in his own life. We too must turn to others to help us carry our burdens.
