What did it feel like holding your baby for the first time?

Feast of the Presentation in the Temple

Fr. Ron begins by asking what it felt like to hold your newborn baby or grand-baby for the first time. It was probably overwhelming.

Fr. Ron shares one of his favorite religious pictures that involves Simeon. When Simeon meets Jesus in today’s gospel, he proclaims a beautiful prayer praising Jesus as “a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.”

We join Simeon in praising Jesus as a light. We should be thank God today for every child that has come into the world as they are a light. Babies are reminders that God has not given up on us.
