What it takes to receive God’s love
Monday of the 22nd Week in Ordinary Time
Today’s gospel is Jesus’ inaugural address in the gospel of Luke where Jesus quotes Isaiah:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring glad tidings to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.
Fr. Ron explains how whenever we exclude anyone from God’s love, we exclude ourselves.
When we see for those not for those beyond our community, we are not able to receive our love
Think about how much God could do in us if we were to transcend the boundaries of community, nationality, and race, and see that God’s love is for all people.
