What Jesus says is more important than clean hands

Tuesday of the 18th Week in Ordinary Time
In today’s gospel, pharisees criticize Jesus for not washing his hands before a meal, but Jesus explains that it is not what goes into one’s mouth that is important, but what comes out. He explains how a pure heart is more important than pure hands.
