You can’t outdo God in generosity

Tuesday of the 8th Week in Ordinary Time

We can never outdo God when it comes to generosity. When God receives our sacrifices, he returns it sevenfold.  In the Gospel, the apostles are assured that God will return hundredfold what they give him. We can’t outdo God in generosity.

As God has given us, we need to give to others and allow God to flow through us. God also tells the apostles that they will receive a lot of persecution. Our life involves sacrifice and we shouldn’t run from it. We should continue to be as generous as possible because we will never outdo God.
