For the next three Sundays of Lent, the Church throughout the world will pray the “Scrutinies” for hundreds of thousands of catechumens; individuals preparing for the Easter sacraments.            In this ancient prayer, we include a prayer for the Lord to search, purify, heal, and strengthen the hearts of the catechumens.  Let us pray this prayer also for our own hearts. “Sacred Heart of Jesus, transform our hearts for you and make us vessels of your amazing love.”
