We are proud to recognize one of our own parishioners, Lillian Dell, a freshman at L’Anse Creuse High School North and a member of St. Isidore Parish, for her inspiring community service project rooted in love, remembrance, and compassion.
Earlier this year, Lillian set out to honor the memory of her cousin, Bradly Matthew Fields, who spent his brief 33 days of life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, and her Aunt Dawn, whom she lost in 2022. Wanting to transform grief into goodness, Lillian created a donation drive to support children battling serious illnesses and families caring for them during difficult times.
Through her determination, organization, and generous spirit, Lillian collected and prepared 235 new items for delivery to Children’s Hospital of Michigan. These donations will support NICU families and children facing difficult medical journeys. She even designed custom stickers and personally organized the entire project from start to finish.
This effort reflects the Gospel call to bring light into the lives of others. Lillian’s kindness reminds us that no act of love is too small when offered with a generous heart.
Lillian, thank you for being a shining example of Christian charity and youthful leadership. May God continue to bless you as you pursue your goal of spreading kindness and making a difference in the lives of others.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
