If you’ve walked through the gathering space (and who hasn’t?!), you’ve probably seen our bulletin boards overflowing with flyers, announcements, and handouts. While well-intentioned, it’s become harder and harder to find what you’re looking for…let alone take it in at a glance. That’s why we’re introducing a new way to share important information through digital signage! This project helps support our mission to reach others in new and innovative ways.
Over the coming weeks, you’ll begin seeing large digital screens throughout the building displaying upcoming events, ministry updates, and other helpful info. These will appear in the following locations:
- Near the Vestry
- Near the Ushers Room
- Between the bathrooms
- On the pillar near the Romeo Plank entrance
- On the wall near the Prayer Garden/Handicap Entrance
This new system offers several important benefits:
- A cleaner and more welcoming environment
- Beautiful, consistent design that reflects the care we put into all we do
- Easier access to information
- Flexible content: Certain screens might show dedicated information, such as ministry updates, Right to Life or Austin Catholic HS content, funeral announcements, or even daily room schedules to help guests navigate the building
This would not be possible without the incredible generous support of the Altar Society. This group of hardworking ladies does so much for the parish from the countless hours at the Rummage Sale, to the hard work behind the scenes ensuring our liturgical space and vestments are properly and thoughtfully cared for.
What About Physical Items?
We recognize that some physical items like rosaries, prayer cards, devotionals, pamphlets, still play a meaningful role for many in our community.
As we move forward, we’re looking at options for how to best make these items available in a thoughtful and organized way. W are currently exploring ideas that honor both beauty and accessibility. If you have suggestions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you.
This is an exciting step forward in making our church environment more welcoming, functional, and mission-focused. Thank you for being part of it!
