All liturgical ministers—Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Greeters, Choir members, AVengers, Altar Servers, and Ushers—are invited to gather for Mass at the Capuchin Retreat Center (62460 Mt. Vernon Road, Washington, MI). Confessions will also be available.
This brief pilgrimage offers an opportunity to share in the graces of the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of St. Francis, marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi. A jubilee year is a special time of grace—an invitation to renew our pursuit of holiness, to return to God’s mercy, and to grow closer to the Lord.
During this sacred year, the Church grants a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions: detachment from all sin, sacramental confession, reception of Holy Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Pope. This indulgence is available to those who make a pilgrimage to a Franciscan church or a place of worship dedicated to St. Francis. The Capuchin Retreat Center is a designated site for this special grace.
The Retreat Center is located about 10 miles away. Please join us as we gather in solidarity and in gratitude for all who serve in liturgical ministries at St. Isidore’s. A free-will offering will be accepted at the Retreat Center.
