Brown Bag Food Drive

  • July 1

Catholic Social Teaching reminds us that in a world marked by growing inequality, we are called to remember the story of the Last Judgment—and to place the needs of the poor and vulnerable at the heart of our actions.

In response to this call, and as part of our Family of Parishes initiative, St. Isidore will host a Brown Bag Food Drive throughout the month of July, benefitting the St. Francis-St. Maximilian Food Pantry.

Brown bags will be available in the Gathering Space starting July 1st. Each bag will include a list of needed food items. We invite you to fill the bags with these items and return them to the Gathering Space by July 31st.

This is a meaningful way for our parish community to respond to the Church instruction to put the needs of the poor and vulnerable first.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and for sharing Christ’s love with those most in need.

But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right is doing, so that your almsgiving may be secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.” (Mt. 6: 2-4)
