Our Annual Christmas Giving Tree Program Begins!
The Giving Tree serves as a living reminder of the true meaning of Christmas and the call to truly live out the Catholic Social Teachings of Option for the Poor and Vulnerable and Call to Family, Community, and Participation. As we are blessed, we are called to be a blessing for others.
Giving Trees will be located in the Gathering Space and at the Mary’s Garden entrance starting on Nov. 1st and run through Dec. 9th. Each “ornament” on the trees will be an envelope listing the organizations we are supporting this year. Simply place your donation inside the envelope, check the families/agencies you wish to support, seal it, and return it to Church — or you can donate online.
Due to increased fraud involving gift cards, we will again not be requesting gift cards. Instead, we are gratefully accepting donations by check, cash, or online at www.stisidore.church/give for everyone’s convenience. Donations of any amount are welcome. Envelopes being returned can be placed in Offertory Baskets during all Masses in November and the first weekend in December or dropped off at the Office.
Please be as generous as you are able and help make Christmas brighter for those in need. The organizations benefiting from this year’s Giving Tree are:
Saint Vincent de Paul (St. Isidore)
Many St. Vincent de Paul families within our parish community are struggling to make ends meet. As Christmas approaches, we have a beautiful opportunity to share the joy of the season with them. Last year, thanks to your generosity, our Giving Tree brought hope and happiness to families, adults, and children in need.
Nativity of Our Lord Parish (Detroit)
Nativity Church in Detroit has been our sister parish for many years. Through your generosity, we have helped support their parish life and share the Catholic faith within their community.
Pope Francis Center (Detroit)
Pope Francis Center (PFC) supports people experiencing homelessness through its Day Center and Bridge Housing Campus, offering basic needs, transitional housing, and a zero-barrier welcome to all. They provide safety, dignity, and hope, helping guests work toward lasting stability and a brighter future.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!
And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ – Mt 25:40
