None of us can live fully without hope. Daily, we encounter people who are lacking in hope.
They need an encouraging word, a smile, a listening ear, the promise of a prayer.
The simple assurance that someone cares, and that they are not alone,
may give them the courage and strength they need to hang in there,
to face their grief, to seek the help they may need in dealing with a crisis or an addiction,
or just the daily struggles of life.
It may not take a whole lot of our time, but we have to make the time.
