Why should we make time to join the Community in prayer?
Many of us have heard a friend or relative say, “I don’t go to church much anymore because I don’t get much out of it and I can pray alone.”
Here is a possible answer:
We go to church not for what we can get out of Mass, but for who we can become in Christ. We grow in our knowledge of God’s plan for us through sharing the Word and the Eucharist. We are strengthened and transformed by scripture, message, music, Holy Communion and prayerful support of one another in community.
Consider attending our Sacred Triduum liturgies and experience the whole story …Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil.
