In John’s Gospel 1:45-51, Nathanael says to Philip, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?”
Nathanael (aka Bartholomew) had a bad attitude toward Jesus even before he actually met him simply because of where he was from.
In contrast, Jesus had a positive attitude even toward Judas, the betrayer who handed him over to be crucified.
How often do we judge someone before we get to really know them as a person?
How often can we let go of judgement even when someone does something terrible to us?
