You are a beloved child of God….
And we are, “not because of any righteous deeds we have done but because of his mercy” (Titus 3:5)
As this new year begins, perhaps a resolution would be to remember that we are created out of a love far greater that anything we can imagine. At troubling times when we feel insignificant, hopeless, or that we can’t live up to the standards of others, may we somehow know that God wonderfully created each one of us and that his mercy is far greater than anything we can do, not do (or even any resolution we may or may not manage to keep). May our 2019 not be defined by we our failings or worldly concerns, but by the childlike Christmas joy that our faith calls us to resolute living. Heavenly Father, help us to always remember your infinite love and care for us and may others see your love in us.
