Do you remember that moment in your life when you felt Jesus truly present to you? Perhaps it was at your Confirmation or when you married or when you had your first child. It was at that moment that you strongly felt Jesus’ presence. Then the responsibilities of everyday life start to creep in and the “nets” of duty begin to drag you down. Your relationship with Jesus starts to suffer.
Our relationship with Christ is not a one-time moment but a lifelong commitment that needs to be rekindled from time to time. To do that you have to reevaluate the “nets” in your life and decide which ones are no longer necessary. It is then that we can make Jesus an immediate focus again.
