God’s love does not discriminate. Even when we sin and do unloving things, He still loves us and calls us back to himself. The equation of true love involves two important factors among many others: a conscious choice to love (no matter what) and a resolve to forgive (no matter what). If Christ could say “Forgive them, for they know not what they do,” while in the last moment of an agonizing death on a cross, we must find the resolve in grace to love and forgive all despite our own sufferings, angers, resentments and brokenness.
We all have excluded others from our love when we are hurt, angry and wounded.
Pray for the grace to love unconditionally in all ways. May our love always be far greater than our hurt.
