I am leaving November 8 to lead my 5th pilgrimage to the Holy Land. This trip was originally scheduled for February, but we postponed because of the spike in Covid last winter.
Several weeks ago, I mentioned an experience from one of our Holy Land Pilgrimages in my homily. After Mass, someone asked if I were still leading pilgrimages to the Holy Land. I told her that I would be interested in leading a group from St. Isidore if there is enough interest. There may be a few people from my former parish as well who might join us.
The usual minimum size is 20 people. (I have 80 people going in November, so a smaller group would be delightful).
More than 10 years ago we met a family from Beit Sehour (Shepherds Field, near Bethlehem) who live in Mt. Morris Michigan. This November trip will be the third time I have traveled with this company. They are a small company but the service has been excellent.
If you would be interested in joining me on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, we could plan something either for Spring or Fall 2023, depending on the interest. The weather is favorable, and the crowds are smaller at those times of the year. The cost is @ $3600 (double occupancy). If you are interested and would like to know more, please email me at frjoedailey@gmail.com
I put together a digital hymnal and playlist to accompany the pilgrimage. You are welcome to view the materials I have created for our November trip. It will give you a little taste of what we will be doing.
I would be happy to host a gathering at St. Isidore in the near future if there is enough interest in organizing a trip. I will be away the weekend of November 13.
