Consider joining your fellow parishioners (18 years and older) for a quiet, weekend retreat at the beautiful Capuchin Retreat House in Washington Township. Feel free to invite a friend, neighbor, or relative to join you.
These are silent retreats hosted by the Capuchins and their staff. There are opportunities for receiving the sacraments of the Eucharist, Reconciliation, and the Annointing of the Sick. There are several thoughtful talks and plenty of time to just enjoy the 90 acres of wooded pathways throughout the grounds. Participate as much or as little as you wish but, because this is a silent retreat, you can open your mind and heart to hear God’s voice in an environment that is free of cell phones, TV, radios and life’s daily interruptions.
The retreat begins on a Friday evening with a prayer service; breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided on Saturday; Sunday there is a breakfast and dinner at noon. Private rooms with their own bathroom are also provided. The cost for the weekend is $225.
