New Bulletin Design

As you read this, you’ve undoubtably noticed that the bulletin looks different today. We’ve been working behind the scenes for the last several months to craft a brand new beautiful design for our bulletin. This design is intended to more deeply reflect our identity as a modern Catholic Church but also address some tangible complexities that we face trying to communicate the happenings here at St. Isidore.

With so many great things happening in our church throughout the year, it can be easy for content to get lost in our 20-page weekly publication. We wanted to find a way to better highlight events and one-off articles (need a better way to say that). The new design will continue to include all of the regular weekly content, but also open up space to more prominently feature the special events that happen and meaningful articles that are authored. We do this by opening up space around the content and pairing it with complimentary artwork allowing the bulletin to feel less cluttered for these featured pieces.

The other goal that we set out to accomplish with this is in regards to the expansion of how we communicate across our Family of Parishes (FOP). As the Director of Engagement for our FOP, my role will include overseeing the creative and communication needs of all three churches (St. Isidore, St. Therese, or St. Francis-Maximilian). This new design will serve as a uniform modern template across all three parishes in the near future while allowing each parish’s identity to flow through. Additionally, we’ve reworked and streamlined how we handle the intake of communication needs so that we can share the meaningful content in a way that compliments the rich beauty contained within.

No matter which of the churches in our Family of Parishes you visit, we want there to be a sense of familiarity in the way we communicate (bulletin, web, and social media) that reflects similar design but also prioritizes the unique aspects of each church’s identity.

I look forward to sharing more with you in the future on how we engage with everyone in our Family of Parishes through communication.
