Since the launch of our website stisidore.church in 2016, traffic to our site has more than doubled, and we’ve learned a lot from this.
Guests visit our website for a variety reasons, but mostly for discovery: They want to discover when our Masses are and learn if we are the right fit for them. With many church options from which they can choose, we know how important a website can be. It is often the first impression anybody will ever have of a church, so it needs to be the very best it can be.Â
Today I am excited to announce the launch of the brand new major update to our site (version 3.0) rebuilt from the ground up to make a more dynamic engaging experience built around discovery. There are a lot of great things to check out on the new site, but I’d like to highlight a few of the my top features.
1. The home page
The first thing you will notice is the visually rich layout. When guests land on our site, we want them to know that they are welcome here and there is a seat for them at St. Isidore. The rest of the home page is focused on great spiritual content, what’s happening at the parish, and more about our pillars.Â
2. SEARCH
Many people know what they are looking for when they visit our site, but not always sure where to look. While there has always been an option to search the entire site, we have enhanced the search to be more prominent, integrated into the site, and more robust than ever before.
3. Social Media Integration
We wanted to make it easier to share with your friends and family, so we’ve integrated social media sharing buttons into every post. Share away!
And so much more…
- Dynamic Modern Design
- Improved Universal search
- Email signup
- Pastoral blogs/articles
- Social Media integration
- Apple Music Integration (listen to the songs we’re singing)
- Improved News Feed
- Pope Twitter Feed
- Use of tags to find related articles
- Information on Becoming Catholic
- Surveys – Share you feedback
- Use of modern web technologies and greater security
The improvements do not end here. We will continue to look for ways to further enhance our site to make it more useful for both members and guests.Â
I would love your feedback on the new site. Please reach out and let me know what you think! matt@stisidore.church 586.286.1700 x2026
