Join us for a heartwarming and furry-filled day at “Pets and Prayers: A Pet Blessing and Adoption Extravaganza,” where the love for pets takes center stage in our courtyard! This unique event combines the joy of pet adoption with a heartfelt pet blessing service, creating a memorable experience for animal lovers of all ages.
Pet Blessing (12 PM): Our beloved pets hold a special place in our hearts, and this event begins with a pet blessing service as we reflect on St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals (whose feast day is October 4). Gather with fellow pet owners as we celebrate the bond between humans and their furry, feathered, and scaly friends. Fr. Ron and Deacon Jeff will offer blessings, ensuring that your pets are surrounded by the love of God. Free raffle tickets available, one per family pet, to be used in prize basket drawings.
Pet Adoption Fair (12 – 3 PM): Are you looking to expand your family with a new four-legged member? Visit our adoption fair, where four local animal shelters and rescue organizations will showcase adorable and adoptable pets eagerly awaiting their forever homes. Knowledgeable staff will be on hand to answer your questions, and you can even start the adoption process on-site.
