I am planning a pilgrimage to the Holy Land for St. Isidore Parish and friends. The date is February 26 – March 6, 2024 – 18, 2023.
I lead my first pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2000. I had no idea what to expect, but that first experience was an invitation to visit again and again. In the Holy Land, we tell the Gospel stories we know by heart and hear them in a new way. I put together a digital hymnal for the pilgrimage with art and song and scripture that we pray and sing along the way. I also prepare a playlist with all the music for the pilgrimage. The scripture and song help to make our pilgrimage together an encounter of the heart. It’s like being on retreat, walking in the way of the Lord.
