St Isidore will be assisting Faith@Work to collect gently used purses from now until August 1, 2021. The purses will be sold by Faith@Work and 100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting Mary‘s Mantle.
Mary’s Mantle is a Catholic residential program for homeless expectant women. They provide a safe, faith-based environment that supports the transition into motherhood. Any unsold purses will be given to a domestic violence shelter where they will be filled with overnight toiletries and information on how to get to a shelter if someone is in an abusive situation.
There will be a box available by the Church office beginning July 3 to drop off the purses.
