We mentioned in the Christmas special edition of the bulletin that we have been selected as one of two food pantries by the new Meijer Grocery Store on 24 Mile and Hayes Rd for their Simply Give Program. Each food pantry will have alternate seasons (spring, winter, etc.) at the store where shoppers can buy a $10 Simply Give Card to support that particular pantry (there will be signage indicating the pantry chosen). The pantry will then get the accumulated amount in a food only gift card at the end of the season. During this time the $10 cards will be doubled or tripled in value on certain days. They will be giving us advanced notice of these days, so look for upcoming articles of when this program will start and the bonus days.
We will be the first pantry selected for the spring season which will start in a few months but the store will officially open January 26th. We are so grateful to Meijer to be chosen for this program. Please keep our pantry list in mind as you shop in stores or on-line this week. We appreciate all donations within their expiration dates.

St. Vincent de Paul Society
We ask that you do not leave clothing, shoes, etc. in the food pantry bins. Take them instead to the St. Vincent de Paul Store located at 13455 Hall Rd in Utica near Planet Fitness and the Dollar Store on the Schoenherr entrance. Drive around the Dollar Store side to the Donation door but call 586-323-5133 ahead of time to make sure they are taking donations. Thank you!
