St. Vincent de Paul

St. Vincent de Paul Update for 1/30/2022

Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don’t judge or categorize someone else, when we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or remain quiet. …Charity is refusing to take advantage of another’s weakness & being willing to forgive someone who has hurt us. Charity is expecting the best of each other.

Our parishioners are so kind to our neighbors in need. You may not have met any of them but you are lifting them up in their weakness to provide food and necessities to their families.  Thank you!!  Please keep our pantry list in mind as you shop in stores or online this week.  Our needs are:

  • Boxed Pasta
  • Canned Ravioli or Spaghetti
  • Pasta Sides
  • Canned Pineapple
  • Canned Peas
  • Canned Carrots
  • Spaghetti Sauce – Jars
  • Laundry Soap – 50 loads or less
  • Dish Soap
  • Deodorant – Women’s, Men’s, Unscented
  • Shampoo
  • $25 Gift Cards – Kroger or Meijer

We do not take donations of USED clothes, blankets, household items, etc.  Please take those to the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store on VanDyke, just north of Hall Rd on the east side.  The store is hiring sales associates starting at $15/hr.  Please inquire at the store if you are interested.  If you would like to volunteer at the store you must give a minimum of 2 hours on the day you go.  Please write St. Isidore Church on your card so we can receive store vouchers to give to our neighbors in need.  Thank you!!
