St. Vincent de Paul

St. Vincent de Paul update for 1/8/2023

“A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.” – St. Basil The Great

As a follow-up to our Christmas Distribution, we would also like to thank Mrs. Hunter’s 2nd Grade Class at Crissman Elementary School for their food donations and PTI Engineered Plastics for their food, monetary, and other miscellaneous donations as well as adopting two families. We also had one scrapbooking club, one Girl Scout troop, our St. Isidore SVDP conference, and 5 individuals and their family members adopting families for Christmas. We were able to adopt 15 families and they all received very generous amounts of gifts.

In addition to all of these donations, two other families were awarded $500 each from the Catholic Charities of SE Michigan Adopt-A-Family program. We are so grateful to everyone who generously supported our Christmas Distribution and our Adopt-A-Family program.

Calls for food are continuing to come in at a higher than normal rate. If you can help, please keep our pantry list in mind as you shop in stores or on-line this week. We appreciate all donations within their expiration dates:
