On October 3, 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln issued an official Thanksgiving Proclamation to set apart the last Thursday in November as a day of gratitude and public acknowledgement for all the blessings God had conferred upon the nation.
Our Thanksgiving Distribution was a great success! We helped 40 families and 178 people (71 adults and 107 children) with a plentiful Thanksgiving dinner. We want to thank Fr. Ron and the parish staff for supporting our work. We could not help as many people as we do without you!
As we give our thanks and blessings at Thanksgiving dinner, we and our Neighbors in Need, are grateful to our parishioners who have continually provided food throughout a pandemic, supply chain problems, and high inflation. Our St. Vincent de Paul Conference wishes you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving!!
