“We should strive to keep our hearts open to the sufferings and wretchedness of other people, and pray continually that God may grant us that spirit of compassion which is truly the spirit of God.” – St. Vincent de Paul
In 2020 our neighbor’s SNAP Card (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) amounts were increased to help with the economic hardship of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the end of February, these additional funds will end, causing many of our neighbors to suffer food insecurity. Let us keep our hearts open with compassion and pray continually that they will be able to move out of the poverty they are in and can support their families. Please keep our pantry list in mind as you shop in stores or on-line this week. We appreciate all donations within their expiration dates.
