We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.
St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Today is the feast day of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. We must keep in mind that although we help our neighbors with food, rent or utility payments, they also need a caring friend that will listen to their problems and offer them consolation or encouragement. Knowing that the St. Isidore parishioners care about them can make all the difference in the world to them.
Our list is short this week as our pantry is well stocked due to your generosity! As you shop online or in stores this week, please keep our pantry list in mind. Our Pantry needs are:
- Deodorant – Men’s, Women’s, or Unscented
- Canned Corn
- Canned Green Beans
- Women’s Large Depends (or store brand) – Pull Ups Only (not diaper style)
- $25 Gift Cards from Meijer or Kroger
