St. Vincent de Paul

St. Vincent de Paul update for December 24, 2023

“We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.” – St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta

The neighbors we help not only need food, bills paid or clothing, but they need someone to talk to about their problems. They shoulder the burden of caring for themselves and their family on their own. Please take time during this Christmas Season to consider those around you, and what burdens they may carry, and give them your time to listen to them.

We are so very grateful that our St. Isidore community sees the face of Jesus in all those in need. Thank you! As we replenish our pantry, our needs are:

  • Canned Soups – Tomato, Chicken Noodle
  • Jelly
  • Cookies
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Shampoo
  • Dish Soap
  • Box Pudding Mix
  • Box Jello Mix
  • Canned – Peaches, Pears

Additionally, we would like to announce our SVDP conference now offers donation envelopes. The envelopes are located near each door as you enter the church by the Simply Give display.

Christmas Prayer: Come, Lord Jesus, and erupt with great joy into our world. Show us the wide-eyed, wondrous awe of this creation – fully alive around us, among us, between us, and within us!

Merry Christmas!
